MODESTO - Authorities investigated a crash that sent three people to the hospital Sunday morning, one with major injuries.
Shortly after 10:00am Sunday morning, emergency crews responded to the intersection of Crows Landing and Hackett Roads for a collision involving two vehicles.
Arriving responders located a Toyota Sedan that appeared to have collided head on with a white pickup truck.
Early reports indicate the truck was south on Crows Landing and the Toyota was westbound on Hackett. The Toyota may have turned into the southbound lanes at the time the collision occurred.
Authorities closed the intersection to investigate the crash. The driver of the Toyota was rushed to the hospital with major injuries. Early reports indicate first responders were performing CPR on the driver. The occupants of the pickup did not suffer major injuries.
Officials at the scene were looking into the possibility that the driver of the Toyota suffered a medical emergency during the crash, and may have been involved in another collision prior.
Ceres Police Traffic Officers investigated the collision.
