STANISLAUS COUNTY - A plane crash near the Modesto Reservoir sparked a brush fire, dispatching a response from several emergency crews late Monday afternoon.

At about 5:44pm, officers with the California Highway Patrol were dispatched to a report of an aircraft down in the area of Crabtree Road near Warnerville Road.

Early reports indicate the airplane also collided with power lines, sparking a brush fire. A responding aircraft reported that the plane landed upright, and the pilot appeared uninjured.

The brush fire reached 15 acres in size before being contained.

There was no further details on the circumstances leading up to the crash, the make and model of the aircraft, or the pilot’s identity.
