MODESTO – Police officers closed Sylvan Avenue just west of Oakdale Road Tuesday evening after a major collision sent one person to a hospital.
According to officials at the scene, the crash happened at about 7:40pm near Carson Oak Drive. Police, fire, and medical personnel responded and found the collision had happened between a motorcyclist and a Nissan sedan. The rider was taken to a hospital by ambulance with major injuries. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Traffic officers closed off the area to investigate the crash. No further details were available at time of publication.
