  • WESTON RANCH - Police investigated a homicide after a person was shot dead Saturday night. Officers with the Stockton Police Department responded to the 3300 block of John Townsend Place at about 8:30pm for a report of a shooting.   • MODESTO - Police investigated a shooting that left two people wounded Friday afternoon. The shooting happened at about 2:00pm near Haddon Avenue and Riverside Drive. Witnesses described hearing gunfire, then rushing over to find two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say the victims were among family members gathering at a home for Thanksgiving.   • MODESTO - Two pedestrians where struck by a vehicle in Downtown Modesto Saturday evening. The incident began around 4:15pm as detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office were conducting an investigation into a suspect known to be armed.
