CERES – Authorities with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office investigated the death of a man after an early morning break-in Thursday.
At about 4:30am deputies responded to a home on the 3200 block of McGee Road after a woman called 911 reporting someone was breaking into her home. The woman told authorities she was hiding in her bedroom with her daughter.
Responding deputies arrived at the home and found a man deceased inside. The woman and her child were not hurt. Major Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. At time of publication, the man was not identified, and there was no motive or suspect information available.
