TURLOCK – Police investigated a homicide Thursday afternoon on Hawkeye Avenue.
Thursday afternoon officers with the Turlock Police Department responded to an assault call on Hawkeye Avenue between Dels Lane and Golden State Boulevard.
Neighbors observing the investigation speculated on what might have happened, but as of 5:00pm authorities had not released the circumstances surrounding the incident, or the manner in which the victim was killed.
The victim appeared to have died at the scene.
Hawkeye Avenue is expected to be closed for several hours during the investigation.
