MODESTO – The driver of a Ford Mustang died after suffering injuries during a crash with a semi truck late Friday afternoon.
At about 5:30pm emergency crews responded to the area of Morgan Road and Nelson Way for a report of a crash involving two vehicles with major injuries. Arriving officers found a blue Ford Mustang that had collided with a semi truck.
The driver of the Mustang was rushed to a hospital with major injuries, but he later died. The driver of the semi truck had minor injuries.
Police say the Mustang was heading south on Morgan Road when it collided with the northbound semi truck.
The surrounding roadways were closed off to traffic while police officers examined the crash scene.
