CERES – Police arrested two people on Thursday during a traffic stop after officers discovered firearms and narcotics in their vehicle.
Shortly after 10:30pm Sergeant Michael Vierra with the Ceres Police Department was patrolling the 1400 block of Nadine Avenue when he conducted a stop on a car.
Sergeant Vierra conducted a search of the vehicle and occupants after establishing probable cause. The search yielded narcotics and two firearms, one of which was unserialized.
The occupants, identified as 26-year-old Ontoniel Valencia and 19-year-old Emily Simkins, were arrested and booked into jail on firearms and narcotics charges.
