STANISLAUS COUNTY – Two people aboard a helicopter suffered injuries after the aircraft they were flying in crashed at the Modesto Reservoir.
The crash happened shortly before 11:00am according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. The pilot and one other occupant of the helicopter were on board when the aircraft went down. One of them sustained major injuries, both were taken to a hospital.
Authorities closed the waterway at the reservoir for an undetermined amount of time while the cause of the crash is investigated.
