MODESTO – Police investigated a shooting Tuesday afternoon that sent at least one person to a hospital.
The incident happened shortly before noon. Police officers responded to Powell Drive and located a victim that was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The extent of that person’s injuries were unclear at time of publication.
A resident in the area said he saw a woman on the ground who appeared injured, but was unsure of what had happened. He described the scene as scary.
Powell Drive was closed off with crime scene tape.
