STOCKTON – Police investigated an early morning homicide after a man was found shot dead in front of a motel Saturday.
At about 12:15am police officers responded to the Motel 6 on the 2600 block of March Lane for a report of a person shot. Arriving officers found a man down next to a parking lot. Emergency personnel provided aid to the man but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The front of the property was taped off as detectives responded to investigate the case. A suspect description and motive was not available late Saturday morning.
