RIVERBANK – Bomb squad technicians were called to the Crossroads Shopping Center Friday morning for a report of a suspicious object.
Authorities say they were called to an area near a tire shop in the center after a suspicious object was found. The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad was called to examine the object, which was determined to be a discarded electrical transformer.
Authorities credit residents for reporting the item on the side of caution. Anyone who sees a suspicious item that appears dangerous is encouraged to contact the non emergency line at (209) 552-2468.
