MODESTO – Authorities deactivated an Amber Alert issued following a stabbing investigation and child abduction Saturday night.
Adler Lopez Lara, 11, was found safe as of 1:00pm Sunday after he was taken by his father Walter Fernando Zuniga Lara. Authorities believed Walter stabbed the boy’s mother at the Motel 6 on West Orangeburg Avenue Saturday night. The woman was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
A silver BMW believed to be occupied by Lara and the boy was found unoccupied as of 9:00am. Walter Lara is still outstanding.
