MARIPOSA COUNTY – A brush fire burned Thursday afternoon, prompting authorities to issue a fire warning and close roads in the area.
The fire was reported at about 2:30pm near the area of Yaqui Gulch Road and Live Oak Road. Surrounding roadways were closed up to Highway 140. Authorities asked motorists traveling through the area to be cautious of responding firefighters.
No evacuations were requested Thursday afternoon, but authorities urged residents to be ready in case conditions changed.
