CERES – A garage fire caused damage to a Ceres home Friday night.
The fire was dispatched at about 10:15pm to a home on the 1500 block of Caulfield Drive. Arriving emergency personnel encountered visible fire from the garage. The family had already exited the home. Crews made entry through a side door and began extinguishing the flames while other firefighters removed the garage door. The fire had slightly extended into the attic space, but was contained to the garage and controlled in about twenty minutes.
In total nineteen firefighters and two chief officers responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
