Modesto Police Investigate Homicide
MODESTO – Police detectives investigated a homicide Monday night after a man was found shot in a vehicle.
At about 9:45pm several callers reported hearing gunfire to authorities in the area of the 1600 block of Gardenia Road. Arriving officers located a man inside of a vehicle who was shot several times. Life-saving measures were performed on the victim but he died at the scene.
Gardenia Road was closed between Briggsmore Avenue and East Granger Avenue. The victim’s vehicle had visible bullet holes in the windows. Detectives responded to investigate the case and determine who was responsible for the shooting.
No suspect information or motive was available.
