MODESTO – Police responded to a shooting that injured one person Sunday afternoon and locked down a neighborhood.
At about 2:15pm officers with the Modesto Police Department responded to a report of a person shot on the 2900 block of Debbie Lane. The victim was rushed to a hospital in unknown condition.
The suspect was said to have run into a nearby home and refused to come out. Officers established a perimeter and worked to reason with a man shouting from the window of a nearby home.
A motive and condition of the victim was not available at time of publication. Further updates will be released as information becomes available.
