PATTERSON – A string of wildfires in Del Puerto Canyon carried smoke across the county Sunday morning.
The fire, named the “Canyon Zone Fires” was initially reported to be 50 acres in size, but by the afternoon, reports came in that it had doubled in size.
A utility camera spotted the fire as it blew smoke into Stanislaus County. There were estimated to be a string of three to five separate fires in the canyon.
No word on cause of the fire was available at time of publication.
