MODESTO – Authorities responded to a report of a person shot Sunday afternoon.
At about 3:30pm deputies with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a person shot near the area of Bystrum Road and Eugene Avenue.
Arriving deputies located a woman in a vehicle who had been shot. Medics and firefighters responded and transported the victim to a hospital for care.
Deputies closed off the area to investigate the shooting but no further details were available at time of publication.
