STOCKTON – Police arrested a 22 year old man on attempted homicide charges after a stabbing investigation late Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Kimiyo Street shortly before noon for the report of a person stabbed. Police say the victim, a 22 year old woman, was at the suspect’s home when she was stabbed multiple times and received a cut wound to the arm.
The victim was able to escape from the suspect’s home and call police for help. She was transported to a hospital for care of her wounds and was expected to survive.
Police arrested 22 year old Marcus Negrete on various charges including attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and terrorist threats.
