New Charges Filed, Additional Victim Named in Stockton Homicide Series Investigation

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY – Additional charges were filed Tuesday against Wesley Brownlee, the man accused of being responsible for several fatal shootings in Stockton and Alameda County.

The amended charges include an additional victim out of Alameda County. The added Alameda cases include the murders of Juan Alexander Vasquez and Mervin Harmon. The added murder cases of Stockton include victims Paul Yaw and Salvador Debudey Jr. An attempted murder charge was added for the case involving Natasha LaTour who up to this point is the only identified survivor.

“The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office continues to collaborate with our local law enforcement agencies to ensure justice for these victim,” said Tori Verber Salazar, District Attorney.

Brownlee was initially charged on October 18th following his arrest by the Stockton Police Department. He returns to court for further arraignment on January 3rd, 2023.
