MODESTO – Officers with the Modesto Police Department closed McHenry Avenue Wednesday night to investigate a fatal collision involving a pedestrian.
Shortly before 11:00pm police officers responded to the 3400 block of McHenry Avenue after a man was found down on the roadway. The man was apparently struck by a vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The northbound lanes of McHenry Avenue were closed between Standiford Avenue and Robin Hood Drive. Investigators examined the scene and gathered evidence, but there was no information available regarding an involved vehicle.
