Shooting Claims Man’s Life
STOCKTON – Police investigated a shooting Thursday afternoon that claimed the life of a 21 year old man.
At about 5:22pm police officers responded to a report of a person shot on the 4700 block of Greensboro Way. The victim was located and rushed by ambulance to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police closed off the roadway and nearby court with crime scene tape. Several shell casings were marked off as evidence on the street.
One resident who lives nearby said they heard multiple gunshots and the sound of a car speeding off. A few moments later sirens followed along with the police helicopter.
No motive or suspect information was available Thursday night.
