EMPIRE – Authorities with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a shooting Easter Sunday.
The incident happened at about 8:30pm near the intersection of Second and C Streets. Early indications suggest one person was struck by gunfire.
C Street between Second and First Streets was closed off with crime scene tape. Firefighters and medics also responded.
At time of publication there was no confirmed suspect information or motive for the incident.
