STOCKTON – Police investigated a shooting that sent one person to the hospital late Monday afternoon.
Officers responded at about 5:44pm to the 2600 block of Volpi Drive for a report of a shooting. Officer Joseph Silva, a police spokesman, said a male was shot outside and taken to a hospital. There was no update on his condition Monday night.
The block near the area where the shooting occurred was taped off. Investigators responded to examine the scene and gather evidence. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and a suspect description were not available Monday night.
