Shooting Victim Expected to Survive

STOCKTON – A 25 year old man was taken to a hospital Saturday night after suffering a gunshot wound in South Stockton.

Shortly before 9:00pm officers responded to the area of Hunter and Sonora Streets for a report of a person shot. Officers arrived and located the victim who was transported to a hospital for treatment. Police said the victim was expected to survive his injuries.

About two blocks were taped off as a crime scene on South San Joaquin Street, as well as Hunter Street to the west. Evidence technicians responded to gather evidence and document the scene.

No suspect information was available.
