Shooting Victim Rushed to Hospital

STOCKTON – Police investigated a shooting late Monday night that injured one person.

The shooting was reported shortly before 11:30 PM in North Stockton. Responding officers located a victim near the 8600 block of Blue Grass Drive. The victim, a 46 year old man, suffered at least one gunshot wound and was taken by an ambulance to a hospital. The injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, police said Tuesday morning.

Officers searched the area for a suspect and a crime scene where the shooting took place. Through the investigation police were able to determine that the victim was walking near the 8900 block of Lost Meadows Lane. Authorities said he was approached by three Hispanic males in a vehicle who struck him with a firearm and then shot him.
