Tracy Gas Station Homicide Investigated, Two in Custody

TRACY – A shooting that claimed the life of a man at a Chevron gas station was investigated Tuesday night.

Shortly after 9:00pm officers received a report of a shooting at the gas station on North Tracy Boulevard near the 205. A man found at the location suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The incident originated as some kind of altercation inside of the business according to Sergeant Mario Ysit, a spokesman for the Tracy Police Department. Sergeant Ysit did not believe the clerks at the business were involved, and the victim was not randomly targeted.

Wednesday morning, officials reported that the investigation led to the arrest of two individuals in the case. Details regarding the arrest or the identities of those involved were not available at time of publication.
