STOCKTON – The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects involved in an armed robbery and one is still on the loose.
The robbery occurred after 5:00 p.m. December 28th, 2020 when three suspects entered a hardware store on the 1900 Block of Country Club Boulevard.
After the suspects made entry into the business, two pointed guns at employees and forced the victims to open a cash register. The suspects left the business with a large amount of cash.
“Even though the suspects terrorized the employees, they were not hurt.” Deputy Alan Sanchez said in a press release. Sanchez is a spokesman with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Public Information Office.
Patrol Deputies, the Technical Services Team and AGNET Deputies who investigate rural crime, gangs and narcotics were able to identify 26-year-old Destanne Dozier and 25-year-old Shakil Dozier of Stockton as suspects to the robbery.
Both suspects were arrested after a search warrant was served on their apartment Tuesday. Authorities found a gun and clothing matching what appeared on the business surveillance video at the time of the robbery.
Both suspects were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail and face charges including, armed robbery, and outstanding warrants.
Authorities are continuing to search for the third suspect who appears to be a Black male, in his late teens and is thin built.
