MODESTO – A 39 year old man faces homicide related charges after the discovery of a woman fatally shot in a Modesto home Friday morning.
At about 6:40am deputies with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office located a vehicle registered to an address on the 1300 block of Canal Street in Modesto. They requested a security check for the owner after having reason to believe they may be dead in their home.
Deputies with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home and did not receive an answer at the door. They entered the apartment and found 31 year old Kimberly Hauersperger with a fatal gunshot wound.
Investigators with the Crimes Against Persons and Identification Units responded to the scene. Joseph Ring was taken into custody in Tulare County and transported back to Stanislaus County where he was booked for homicide.
