Woman Punched, Carjacked in Stockton

STOCKTON – Police investigated a report of a carjacking after a woman was assaulted Tuesday morning.

The incident happened on the 600 block of North Aurora Street at about midnight. Police say the victim, a woman in her 40’s, was giving the suspect a ride to the area.

The suspect punched the woman and pulled her from the vehicle, described as a dark colored SUV. He then fled the area in the victim’s auto.

Police say the victim and suspect are known to each other, but no more details were provided. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20’s.
