MODESTO – Authorities with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a person shot Wednesday afternoon.
At about 12:25pm, deputies responded to the shooting near the 2000 block of Robertson Road. One victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance where they were listed as critical but stable, according to Sergeant Luke Schwartz, a spokesman for the department.
Modesto Police investigators responded to the area to assist in searching for a suspect or suspects. Sergeant Schwartz said via telephone that detectives were actively investigating the case well into the afternoon.
Robertson Road was closed between Thomas and Marlow Streets for a few hours while evidence was examined and gathered by investigators.
