Shooting Claims Victim, Another Critical in Stockton

STOCKTON – Authorities investigated a shooting that killed one person and left another critically wounded Sunday.

Police responded to a report of a shooting shortly after 8:30pm on the 500 block of North San Joaquin Street. Arriving officers located two men who were shot and rushed them to a hospital.

One of the victims, a 43 year old man, died from his wounds at the hospital. The second victim, identified as a 41 year old man, was said to be critical Monday morning.

Homicide detectives responded to investigate the case. No suspect information was available Monday.
