TURLOCK – Police arrested and charged a man in a shooting that happened Sunday night that injured one person.
Officials say Richard Merrill, 25, was arrested for a shooting that happened on the 3400 block of Rochester Court.
At about 9:30pm several calls were received to the dispatch center reporting gun shots in the area. Authorities learned that a domestic dispute had escalated into a person being shot. The victim, and adult male, was taken to a hospital for treatment of his wounds which were said to be non life threatening.
Police later recovered a firearm and said the suspect, Richard Merrill, turned himself in at the police department.
