STOCKTON – Police investigated the shooting death of a teen Thursday afternoon on the city’s north side.
Shortly after 1:00pm, police responded to a report of a person shot near the 9500 block of Kelley Drive. Arriving officers found a 15 year old boy who had been shot.
Officers provided aid until medics arrived to take over. The teen was rushed to a hospital where he died.
The intersection and surrounding neighborhood was closed off as a crime scene. Investigators examined the scene and collected evidence. A bicycle was found on the ground along a sidewalk where the incident happened.
A motive and suspect information was not available Thursday evening.
