With hot weather during the past few days, record high temperatures were set today in the region.
Stockton, Modesto and Merced all had record breaking temperatures.
The US National Weather Service reports Stockton’s previous record was in 1983 at 106 degrees for this day. Today’s temperature of 113 degrees in Stockton was also seen July 25th, 2006.
Modesto previously had a record of 104 degrees which was set for this day last year. Today’s high was 111 degrees.
Merced previously had a record of 109 degrees for this date in 1920. Today’s temperature reached 111 degrees.
