STANISLAUS COUNTY – Authorities investigated a home invasion Sunday morning with a person shot.
The incident happened shortly before 10:00am near Roselle Avenue and Plainview Road. Early reports indicated there was at least one person shot, with possibly a second victim on the property.
Authorities from several agencies established a large perimeter near the Modesto/Riverbank border as several ambulances and two SWAT vehicles responded. The Stanislaus County Sheriff air support unit also responded to assist.
Area residents were encouraged to shelter in place as tactical teams searched for a suspect. Authorities searched properties and orchards well into the afternoon.
