MODESTO – Police responded to the discovery of a body near a shopping center Friday morning.
The incident happened on McHenry Avenue just south of Standiford Avenue Friday morning. Authorities received a call from a concerned citizen who found the deceased person near some auto repair shops just south of the Target shopping center. Medical personnel responded and confirmed the person was without life.
The area was closed off while officers investigated. By 7:30am an official with the coroner’s office responded to the scene. No official details were available regarding the age or gender of the person found.
