Double Homicide Investigated in Modesto
MODESTO – Police detectives investigated a shooting that claimed the life of two people Tuesday afternoon.
At about 1:22pm police officers responded to the area of Oregon Drive and Thrasher Avenue for reports of several gunshots. Two victims were found and pronounced deceased at the scene.
A large area around the neighborhood was closed off as a crime scene while detectives responded to investigate the case.
Investigators were expected to remain at the scene for several hours according to Sharon Bear, a police spokeswoman.
At publication time, information regarding the victims’ age and genders were unavailable.
