MODESTO – A man was rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon by ambulance as police investigated a shooting.
Officers with the Modesto Police Department responded to the area of Third and I Streets at about 3:30pm for a report of a person shot. Arriving officers located a man with a leg injury pulled over.
Early reports indicate the shooting happened nearby as the victim was in his car. Officers searched the area for signs of a shooting. Witnesses who live nearby said they heard about four to six gunshots, then sirens.
At time of publication there was no confirmed suspect information available or released by authorities.
