MODESTO – Police investigated a shooting on Sunday at a convenience store that sent at least one person to the hospital.
At about 9:30am officers were dispatched to the Shop and Go at Prescott Road and Mt Vernon Drive for a report of a shooting. Early reports indicate a person was found on the ground with a gunshot wound, and possibly a second victim inside the business.
Medics responded to the scene to care for the wounded, while police began a search in a nearby neighborhood for the suspect.
The business was taped off as a crime scene. One vehicle in front of the shop appeared to have its window shot out.
