Woman Assaulted, Deputies Investigate
MODESTO – Deputies with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office investigated the assault of a woman early Saturday morning.
Shortly after 1:00am a call was dispatched reporting a woman who was shot in the head near River and Bystrum Roads. The woman was found in front of a nearby market. After examination, it was determined the woman was shot with a pellet gun.
The woman was taken by ambulance to be treated for her injury. No confirmed suspect information was available.
