MODESTO – A West Modesto roadway was flooded Friday morning after a car crashed into a hydrant.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the area of Roselawn and Rouse Avenues at about 7:16am for a report of a collision. The involved vehicle hit a hydrant and crashed through the back fence of a home on Adkinson Avenue, coming to a stop in the backyard.
Officers determined a utility pole was also struck. By 7:45am, public works crews were on the way to repair the damage.
The involved driver was not injured.
