MODESTO – A large column of smoke was visible for a distance as fire burned in South Modesto Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were dispatched to the area of River Road and Bunker Avenue for a report of a fire at a commercial building. The incident was dispatched around 1:30pm.
Heavy smoke and fire was visible from the scene. Early reports indicate second alarm resources were called for help. The cause was under investigation.
