MODESTO – Authorities identified the victim involved in Monday night’s homicide on Larkin Avenue.
Lisandro Mendez, 18, died after being shot Monday night and taken to a hospital. Officers found Mendez inside a home on the 1600 block of Larkin Avenue after receiving a report of a person shot at about 10:20pm.
About 30 minutes later, a second shooting victim arrived via private transport to an area hospital. That person was expected to survive their injuries according to officials at the scene.
Detectives identified a potential suspect in the case but did not provide an identity pending an arrest. A motive for the shooting also was not provided.
