Central Valley Junior QB Darrius Jackson(11) scrambles from the pocket as Enochs Safety Skyler McCauley moves in for the tackle. Enochs won the game 31-6.
Enochs Junior running back Aiden Muhammad ran for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns, and the Enochs defense kept the Central Valley High School offense shut down for most of the game in a 31-6 Enochs victory at Dan Gonzales Field in the CVTV Prep Game of the Week.
Muhammad got started early against Central Valley, scoring twice by halftime, one by catching a 9-yard pass from Senior QB Adam Amman. Amman completed only 4 passes all game, but 3 of those went for touchdowns. It was that kind of night, as Enochs reached halftime with a 28-0 lead.
The second half mostly showcased each team’s defense, the two exceptions being a touchdown drive by Central Valley in the 3rd, capped by a nice catch and run by Anthony Ramirez from 32 yards out. Senior kicker Jordan Rogers converted a 40-yard field goal to close out the scoring.
The loss drops Central Valley, who was coming off a thrilling win against Ceres last week, to 1-3. Both Central Valley and Enochs(2-2) head into their bye weeks with contests against Golden Valley and Oakdale respectively next Friday.
